1. Information We Collect
Modelyx ("we," "our," or "us") collects information you provide directly when you create an account, subscribe to our services, or contact us. This includes:
- Name and email address
- Billing information processed securely through a third-party payment provider
- Usage data and analytics related to your interactions with the platform
- Professional information you voluntarily provide (sector, geography, firm name)
1A. User Content and Financial Models
When you upload an Excel deal model or enter assumptions into the Service, Modelyx stores this information ("User Content") to provide the Service to you. User Content is treated as confidential: we do not access it except as needed to provide and improve the Service, we do not share it with other customers, and we do not sell it. You retain all ownership rights to your User Content.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to provide, maintain, and improve our capital decision intelligence platform, process transactions, send service-related communications, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Payment Processing
All payment transactions are processed through a third-party payment provider. We do not store your credit card numbers or full payment details on our servers. The payment provider's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.
3A. AI Processing
Certain features of the Service (such as deal memos and narrative summaries) use third-party artificial intelligence providers to convert structured inputs from your User Content into prose outputs. We do not use your User Content to train AI models, and we contractually require our AI providers to do the same. AI providers process this data under terms requiring confidentiality and limited retention, and they are not permitted to use it for any purpose other than producing the requested output for your account.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), secure session management, and access controls to protect your data. Financial models and analysis outputs are stored with cryptographic integrity verification. Modelyx data is hosted on cloud infrastructure located in Singapore. Backups are retained for up to 7 days.
4A. Cookies
Modelyx uses a session cookie strictly to keep you signed in to your account. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or cross-site behavioral cookies. Your in-app preferences (such as which dashboard view you last opened) are stored locally in your browser and are not transmitted to our servers. You can disable cookies in your browser, but doing so will prevent you from signing in.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Following account termination, we retain your User Content for thirty (30) days to allow you to export it or request restoration. After 30 days, your User Content is permanently deleted from our active systems. Any backups still containing your data are purged within an additional seven (7) days as our rolling backup window rotates. Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.
6. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services for payment processing, cloud infrastructure, and market data feeds. Each provider operates under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
7. Your Rights

7A. Users in the European Economic Area

7B. Children's Privacy
Modelyx is a professional service intended for use by adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If you believe we have collected data from a minor, please contact us at support@modelyx.net and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
